Sampling: Why it Matters When Booking a Buffet
Estimated read: 1 minute
To many of us, there’s something exciting food and particularly about a buffet (especially when it’s a treat for lunch from the boss); is it the variety, the abundance of choice or the thrill of building up the perfect plate? Perhaps it’s a little of everything - a bit like a buffet really.
However, as an Event Organiser, that excitement can quickly be a headache in knowing what to choose. With so many menu options from a range of catering partners, it can also feel a bit overwhelming, to get it right. We all recognise that during a staff training day, workshop or business meeting, food really does matter, it can make an event – in fact, our last blog post dives into just how much.

That’s where the offer of a food sample from a caterer comes in — a tiny but powerful taste test, a little of this and that, a pick and mix you might say, to help you make up your mind of what to choose from the menu. As an Event Organiser, you can’t simply go with what you like to eat (otherwise, our entire office would probably only eat chicken and mayonnaise sandwiches), you have to consider everyone’s tastes, dietary needs and expectations.
Taste before booking can open the door to something new, exciting and unexpectedly delicious, not just for you, but for your guests as well. Sometimes all you need is one bite to know it’s worth diving in and booking that buffet.

Here at Robinson’s Catering, we are happy to help you to make the right decision. That’s why we offer a complimentary ‘Chef’s Choice’ food sample to future customers, to help them to decide what they would like for their next buffet lunch.
To book your sample, don’t delay, contact our friendly team and quote ‘blog05’, subject to availability.
